Pet Photos with Santa Another Huge Success!
The 2nd Annual Pet Photos with Santa were held on November 12 and 19. Over the 2 Saturdays, 103 dogs sat on Santa’s lap for photos raising $1000 for Spay Nassau in just 2 days. Santa was quite a trooper wearing his “pink” Santa suit. Photos were provided by Holly Allain Photography for the second year. Holly, an animal lover herself, generously donates her time to take the photos. Look for some of the photos from the event in our Photo Gallery.
Spay Nassau Awarded $50k from County
Spay Nassau was recently awarded $50,000 from Nassau County. They will receive $25,000 immediately and must match that by raising $25,000 in donations in order to receive the second $25,000. Spay Nassau is a 501c3 non profit organization providing low-cost spay and neuter services to low-income families in Nassau County. Spay Nassau is endorsed by the Nassau Veterinary Medical Society. Bark Avenue participates in the Paws & Tails Gala to benefit Spay Nassau
Bark Avenue was one of several co-sponsors (Nassau Humane Society, Cat's Angels, and STARS of Amelia) who sponsored the Paws & Tails Gala on Saturday, June 10, 2006. The event was a tremendous success and approximately $20,000 was raised for Spay Nassau. Spay Nassau provides low-cost or no-cost sterilization for pets of low income households in Nassau County, Florida.
